Gill & Simon’s Wedding Video Trailer

Christmas Wedding

This was a Christmas Wedding in Ballymagarvey Village, Co Meath. The sun shone on this winter day. As usual the staff and surroundings were top notch.

This was a Humanist Ceremony on the grounds  of Ballymagarvey Village. The Christmas decorations were up and the village is full of amazing lighting, giving this Christmass Wedding a real warm glow.

Ballymagarvey has a rich and colourful history dating back to the 13th century when Princess Gwenllian ap Iorwerth (daughter of King Llywelyn of Wales) married William de Lacy of Trim Castle. In later years Ballymagarvey was owned by other notable families in the region, De Verdun, Sir Christopher Bellew, Elizabeth Wood and Francis Fleetwood. Many other couples started their married lives here such as Thomas and Melinda Osborne, Robert and Henrietta Clouston, Sir Thomas Ainsworth and Lady Edina Hope Conyngham (daughter of the Marquis of Conyngham of Slane Castle).

For 800 years Ballymagarvey has been a home of warmth and welcome and that long tradition continues today as we welcome wedding guests from all over the world to come, stay and enjoy a lovely time with us in our cosy little ‘home from home’.
